In our basement is a place for our children to learn and create. This room is not fancy, but it is practical, spacious and welcoming. A mini-Arts & Crafts desk, complete a computer just for the kids, a piano keyboard, a network of instruments, an easel, and two tables of the child and the child-sized chairs in the room. The ground beneath our “learn and create space” is linoleum, which is good against spills and abuse. Messes can be made and exploration are welcome. It is a good place to play loud. Our “knowledge and create a space” welcomes the children to play and explore.
We call these cellars of the “Art Zone”, but more as an art made here. Easel use the art of playing school, teaching computer keyboard of our children, the art developed in the exploration phase of creative a band play with the instruments available and the children’s table and chairs perfect for crafts and other projects. Once I had the space of my children moved to the right and began to play. Today is a “hot spot” is in our house. Every little love to do what they do best in our “Art Space”.
When I was a child I lived on the kitchen table. I liked the place at the kitchen table gave me. I could go back and forth between activities. At one end of the table, some exam questions for this examination is necessary. At the other end of a watercolor painting can be dry. More towards the middle of the table a snack in the afternoon may be sitting half eaten. I was a child, my business made sense, which is like spilled milk. At the end of the day, the table was often buried in all my projects as well. I’m lucky, my parents allowed my tendency to spread. The freedom to fill the kitchen with all the activities of the day, made me a better chance to learn and create.
I am happy that my parents take me to, allowing the kitchen table. I now have to offer my own children enjoy the same freedoms. It’s very easy because there are so many new ways to accelerate the establishment of an area, ideal for kids occupied. My new Space Maker is a child table and chairs. Children should not himself at the kitchen table, or sit on the knees more prop. These tables are just the right size to sit comfortably. The Kid’s tables are exactly the right height for a child, and chairs that are “fair” to find. Today you can find a decent table and chairs, or you can mix and match if you prefer. You can also take home a child large table kidney shaped, like those in a class of preschoolers. These tables are the right height for children and they have plenty of room for several projects. Chairs that are easily accessible. You’d be surprised the options that exist.
If I create a space for our children to learn and I was advised to. I wondered what I had learned about children, because I give my children a place really well, wanted to grow. I returned to my undergraduate studies when I studied art and education, and I thought what I learned environments supportive of creativity. I visited my days in graduate school, when I read read and study the text books with suggestions for helping children develop their literacy skills fully. I thought the number of classes that I taught inside. I remembered the rooms, which I created for students, and I remembered the students who filled the halls. I drew on my own experience as a teacher and a creative person. I gathered all this know how to get to the perfect place for my own children and create. It has never been one day that I have the energy and resources in which I put to use to make our “Art Area”. My children love their “create a space and knowledge,” and they use every day I regretted it. It is perfect for them.
As I sit at my computer, I can watch all the evidence. This is proof that my children learn and create. Their paper airplane art desk is covered with buttons glued construction paper, pipe cleaners loaded with beads, feathers, and bite into a styrofoam ball diameter of three inches. The art easel pad of newsprint to play a drawing of stick figure people dressed in roller hockey is open. There is also a dining table, about two feet, with unfinished crafts that attention when stacked. A chair sits and waits for someone to fill it. It will not be long before someone fill it, because my kids can not wait to use their space to learn and create. You know, it’s perfect for them because they the ones who use it, and it is they who will love it.
Take the time to be learning “and make room for your children. They are the children will love and they will use it. It’s an investment that you will not regret it, and bring a lifetime of returns.
