Apparently after these guys spilt up, the singer went to London and hung out with punks like Billy Idol and Generation X

Must admit along with LRB they were my favorite act at the countdown spectacular. Thanks for posting this.

As far as I can work out, Gary Twinn & Phil Foxman are still doing music, while the Burnham brothers are involved with filmmaking & movie soundtracks in New Zealand? My “SPIES” tell me that there earlier bass player, Randall Murphy, who came over to Melbourne with them from Perth in ‘75 or so, succumbed to hard drug use & became blind & was last heard of many years ago now, selling heroin from his flat somewhere around East St Kilda.

But hey, I could be wrong…?

I see there’s an “official” supernaut page on myspace now? with very detailed band bio & heaps of cool photos!

The GOOD news is, I just heard Supernaut are reforming! Yay! Maybe just a one-off, for that crappy “Countdown Spectacular” nonsense… Still, good news all the same. These ain’t tired old rockers like Hush, they’re still active in music as far as I can gather!

  11. Stumblefuck says:

Yeah it was released as a single, b/w “Why?”, in 1977. It reappeared on the tragically rare “I Like It Both Ways” CD (which was mostly songs of the Nauts LP). I think Shock Records put this out, but for some reason it was pulled from the shelves straight away? Anyway, impossibly rare now – but you can find it on soulseek (albeit not the best mp3 quality!).

  12. Metalbudgie says:

This lot are good …not on the ‘Supernaut’ record.
Maybe will find CD of this song…We’ll I live in hope
